The Philadelphia Eagles are looking into rebuilding their roster. With the departure of two controversial figures in the team - Chip Kelly and former Dallas Cowboys star DeMarco Murray - the NFL team now seeks to find ways to bolster their chances in the next Super Bowl. The challenge becomes even more difficult following the exit of Mark Sanchez who signed with the Denver Broncos. While the backup quarterback of Sam Bradford attempts to recreate the remarkable season of Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler, the Philadelphia Eagles try to take advantage of the changes this offseason brings.

The move to choose Bradford for the franchise tag by the Philadelphia Eagles was earlier noted as a way for the team to express their desire to keep the quarterback. However, it looks like such may not be the case. If the rumor mill is to be believed, then the Philadelphia Eagles may simply be biding their time until a better and younger quarterback proves himself to be capable of leading the starting lineup.

"The Philadelphia Eagles signed Sam Bradford to a two-year, $36 million deal the beginning of this month, and it appears the team isn't banking on him being their quarterback after that contract expires," noted Nunzio Ingrassia of Fox Sports. He further noted that the Philadelphia Eagles are aggressively scouring the market for a quarterback. Recently, there is one star under the radar of the NFL team: Carson Wentz.

A star of the North Dakota State Bison, Wentz is reportedly one of the best quarterbacks in the free agent market today. Apart from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys are also interested in the 23-year-old NFL hopeful. Does this mean Bradford will be set aside soon?

"Well, let's go with Joe Flacco," described Charley Casserly of Wentz. The NFL sports analyst added, "Lot of similarities in college; level of competition, simplistic system, strong arm, accuracy, very productive. I see a lot of similarities. Now, what's different? I think Wentz is a better athlete. He's more mobile, more athletic. I think personality-wise, he's more of an outgoing guy, more of a presence in the room, if you will. The number of starts as a senior, Flacco had more at 15-7. I think Wentz has a little more ability coming out. Flacco [was] more experienced as a senior."
