The San Francisco 49ers are still trapped in the same situation involving Colin Kaepernick. Although the troubled quarterback has returned to the gridiron and is now training with the Carlos Hyde team, talks of his imminent exit from the group never stopped. In fact, more NFL teams have expressed interest on Kaepernick with the Denver Broncos leading the group. While the San Francisco 49ers and Kap continue their negotiations, reports are circulating that Chip Kelly might just have found the perfect solution for the dilemma - let go Kaepernick from the roster and sign a fresh star in the form of Paxton Lynch.
Money issues have plagued the relationship of Kaepernick with the San Francisco 49ers. The same problems are reportedly hindering his potential entry with the Denver Broncos. Sources disclosed that the former Peyton Manning squad feels it unnecessary to pay such huge amount to sign Kap. Presumably, the sheer honor of playing for a Super Bowl contender would be sufficient compensation for a quarterback who barely had the chance to show off in the gridiron last NFL season.
"It's dormant," said John Elway of the negotiations involving Kaepernick. The Denver Broncos general manager added, "He's been working out (with the 49ers) from what I understand. So, that's all I can really say on it.''
Meanwhile, sports experts across the league have noted a possible solution to the quarterback drama of the San Francisco 49ers. Notably, this solution could potentially mesh well with the strengths of their new head coach, former Philadelphia Eagles mentor Chip Kelly. According to experts, the best option for the San Francisco 49ers right now is to draft simply Paxton Lynch.
"I think they're going offense. It's got to be quarterback," noted Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers' potential NFL draft pick. The Pro Football Hall of Fame awardee added, "We don't know the situation with Colin Kaepernick, if he's going to be around or if he's going to be leaving. So the big guy, Lynch, out of Memphis, would be an exceptional quarterback."
Rice further noted that Lynch is similar to the other stars who found their success stories under Kelly's guidance. The former NFL star pointed out, "Big guy, strong arm and I think Chip Kelly had a lot of success with Nick Foles(with the Eagles). I think he could take Lynch under his belt and develop him into a very good quarterback."
Apart from Kaepernick, another San Francisco 49ers star has been gaining attention in the past weeks. The other star who has been under the spotlight is Jarryd Hayne, who was hailed as a crowd favorite following his journey from the NRL to the NFL. However, not all are impressed with the Hayne Plane. In fact, Australians are reportedly getting increasingly disappointed over Hayne and is now looking into Mason Cox as their new sports hero.
"Mason Cox is one of the great stories in Australian sporting history and it's a far better story than Jarryd Hayne going over to San Francisco and doing bugger all," shared journalist Patrick Smith. "He's doing bugger all, what's he done? He went over there and fumbled. Of course, he did, he went over there and fumbled - when they wanted somebody to fumble they'd put out the special squad with Jarryd in it."
