TechRadar reports that Samsung S7 might already be announced at the Mobile World Congress at the end of February. China Mobile also recently posted its social media account a list of the expected big phone launches that might happen this year and the S7 was included under MWC 2016. With so many reporting this possibility, Samsung lovers should pay attention. There was a report thought that Samsung S7 might already be announced as early as next week, on Jan 19. But fans should not bank on this rumor to be true since this is just days away and yet Samsung has not released any form of a hint of that happening.

Fans are called to save up already because the model is bound to be one of the costliest phones for this year. When it comes to the outward appearance, however, the phone might not look that different from the Galaxy S6. Any changes to the appearance are expected to be too small to be noticeable. Instead, excited buyers anticipating the phone should focus on the possible changes on the phone's performance. Korea Times reported that a source had shared with them what can be expected from the S7. According to the source, "As the S6 and S6 Edge represented progress, the S7 will have improvements both in picture quality, performance and other some new features. The key point is can consumers enjoy content with enhanced viewing quality and boosted processing speed." There is also a report that the new model just might be both dust and water resistant.

Another interesting rumor is that Samsung S7 Edge will not happen anymore. Instead, the company will only release the S7, and then a new phablet called the Galaxy S7 Edge+. The Edge+ will come with a 5.7-inch display and 2K resolution. Then there are also reports that stated S7, S7 Edge, and the Edge+ can be released all at the same time.

Even if the Galaxy S7 can look precisely like the Galaxy S6, rumors have it that it will be made from a different type of metal. According to some reports, the company is currently experimenting with a magnesium-based alloy that can make the phone stronger without making it bulkier.
